People ask us why we live like this. The honest answer is that we did not exactly choose it. We were called to it.
After the rebuild, after the years of sobriety, after we found each other again, there was a stretch where we sat still in a normal life and felt something we could not ignore. A pull. A quiet voice telling us this was not where we were supposed to stay. So we listened.
We sold what we did not need. We packed what mattered. And we said yes to a life that did not look like anyone else's, because the one we were called to was not anyone else's life to live.
Living on the road is not romantic. It is hard. There are days that test everything. There are mornings the prayer is shorter than the to-do list and nights the prayer is longer than the day was. But it is the life we were given and we are not handing it back.
