The Method Behind MOTIVE.

CJ Cloyes got sober on October 30, 2010, spent years rebuilding from a physical and identity collapse, and co-founded MOTIVE to build the system he needed and could not find anywhere else.

Meet CJ

Co-Founder. Built the Method From Everything He Got Wrong.

Co-Founder, MOTIVE · Leads MOTIVE Training · In Recovery Since 2010

CJ lost his identity before most people have finished building one. A shoulder injury at 17 ended his athletic career and took with it everything he thought he was. What followed was a decade of slow collapse. Alcohol. Cocaine. A lifestyle built around avoiding the person he had become.

October 30, 2010, he called his mother and chose to stop. Not because everything was clear. Because he hated the person he was, and that was finally enough.

He did not just get sober and figure the rest out. Sobriety revealed a new set of problems. Physical collapse. Hormonal disruption. The understanding that getting clean was only the beginning of the actual rebuild. He tried everything. He overcorrected. He chased size instead of health. And eventually he landed on the only thing that actually worked. Small, consistent actions, built into real life, held to a real standard, every single day.

That is the MOTIVE Method. And CJ built it from everything he got wrong before he got it right.

What CJ Leads

MOTIVE Training and the MOTIVE Method.

CJ leads the training side of the brand. 1-on-1 coaching, structured programs, and the MOTIVE Method, the system that installs structure, accountability, and consistency into real life so results stop depending on motivation. He does not coach theory. He coaches what worked after everything else failed.

The Whole Thing

There Is More to This Story.

The snapshot is the short version. The full story holds the rest. The injury, the collapse, the decade of getting it wrong, the overcorrection, and the philosophy that came out the other side of all of it.
